well.... i dun feel like bloggin...so i'll leave u with some funnie self tests i took recently... haha...some are quite amusing, altho i dunno how true some mite be...lol

Who's my type?
My type is the PREPPY!!!!
If he's conservative, friendly, and clean-cut, he's just your type! You fallhard and fast for the Preppy guy. Whether it's because of his handsome appearance orhis impeccable hygiene, this guy's a safe bet! He's fun and social withoutbeing immature or wild. Your guy's refined, runs with a cool crowd, and hasa little cockiness thrown in for good measure. This Yuppie male is alwaysput together well. He's just cool, calm, and collected. Another quality thatdraws you to him is his ambition. He aims for success and follows whateverpath will lead him there. You respect how he always makes time for hisfriends and has a tendency to be a little goofy. With this cheeky,well-groomed guy, you can rest assured that you'll live the Americandream!
- ~LoL!~ now i KNOW this is true for sure.... i can't help it =P haha.... i'm just drawn to them! meh... but as always, looks are just a bonus! so...this first test doensnt really matter rite??? ~LoL!~ oh gosh...

What's my Comfort Zone?
I'm in my comfort zone when i'm the Close Compadre.
You really know how to connect with friends when you're one-on-one. Flitting from place to place isn't your style. Why waste time when you could be spending it with a good pal, or two, or three? Quaint cafés, old-school restaurants, the perfect bar stools at the corner bar — they're all great places for good food, fun, and conversation. Sure, there are times to fight the crowds at a sweltering party. But you'd probably rather spend time talking about the deeper issues in life and developing the kind of connections with friends that last a lifetime. After all, isn't that what friends like you are for? Should we find you at a large party, we'd bet that you'd be the one chatting to someone on the couch or hitting the dance floor with your good friends. We'd also guess, though, that you'd prefer to be at a smaller gathering with your close crew of friends. Spending quality time with your clan is key for you whether that involves playing board games, talking until dawn, or just hanging out.
- wow....there are a lot of truths to this one.... i'ld much rather chill w/ a couple of frenz rather than a big group of acquaintances.... i do find it more rewarding in some sense... i LUV building closer friendships with ppl...and i think that usually happens (for me anyways) in a more intimate setting....or more personal setting, rather than in a large group.

What's my sense of humour?
My sense of humour is Goofy Humour.
You have your standards: They may be low, but at least you have them. Sure, subtle wit makes some people grin and say, "Now that's funny." But you know the Three Stooges makes people howl with laughter. It's the physical stuff, the poop jokes and funny voices, that get you going because you have a goofy sense of humor. You have no problem making a fool of yourself as long as your moves to "fake" a fall break the ice and make people feel comfortable. Wit, sarcasm, and satire can get lost in the translation, but a whoopee cushion is universal. Yes, it may be lowbrow — heck, it may even be nobrow, but getting laughs is what matters to you. From ye old court jesters to the kids of South Park, you and your goofy sense of humor are in good company.
- hahhahahahaha...i definitley know i got goofy humour...i cant' help it! lol...it's funnie that this test thing mentioned the 3 stooges..hahaha..after ir ead that! lol.... the 3 monkeys! u know who u are...JOKES! hahhaa.... yeah..... i dun think ppl get me sometimes.... i guess that's alrite~

wow..this poem hit me hard.  i know that everyday we as Christians are constantly in a spritual war. this poem has inspired me so much just to rededicate myself to Him.  Praise the Lord for his nev erending goodness and grace.

Love.

Love cannot be explained in any single term or phrase. Rather, it's something that is taken and given between people. I think of firstly God's love for us. His love that's completely inmeasurable, wholly satisfiable, forever enduring, 100% unconditional, and just too good of a thing to miss.

I see sooo many of my friends and family members just missin out on His love for us. These people are so desperatly searching for someone to love and care for them while there's a God out there who loves each one of my friends to bits! COntinued prayer!

I'm so thankful that GOd luvs me so much as He does...but what makes it better is that it's not just GOd loving me, but it's a two-way relationship. He'll forever love me, but i can luv him also with all of my heart! Also, each of us carry a bit of GOd's love that we're fully able to spread to others.

Today, I caught a glimpse of that. ^_^ thinking about it, makes me so happie!!!! Well... i was coming home from work today..and it was late, like 7ish cuz traffic was so bad..and i i guess that made me kind of in a pissy mood to begin with..well, when i came home, i discovered that my computer had gotten a virus on it... most likely resulting from unsafe websites my sis checked out earlier on in the day. so i got mad at her... and my frustration vented out. well, during dinner, rite before saying grace, my sister said "i'm sorry" to me... at this point, i started feeling so bad for losing patience with her. never before had she ever apologized to me without somoene having to force her to do ti and actually meaning it! how could i not forgive that gentle face? so... after dinner, andrea ( my sis) proceeded to wash the dishes..and i went to fix my comp... then a while later, she goes up to me (while i'm at the comp) and hands me something. As she leaves the room, she says "here... this is for you, just dun hug me". So, once she's left the room, i open it. and it's a hand-made card made of origami paper, saying " To Vanessa., I love you. From Andrea Li.... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... my heart totally melted! i luv her sooooo much!!!! i wanted to hug her so tight... ~LoL!~ but i know andrea wouldn't ahve any of that =P hehe.. that's definitely some of GOd's love!

and to all you out there who have been praying for her, i thank each and every one of you for all your prayers. they are GREATLY appreciated... things are going better wtih her and i, but with the rents, it's still pretty bad. But i have faith that things will indeed get better, they already have. Praise GOd. a couple of weeks ago, we did devos together. that was absolutely amazing. definitely an answer to prayer. thankyou.

My Summer:

now that i work 5 days a week, 8 hrs a day, most of my time is spent either with my work colleagues or my family. i actually really enjoy working a lot and so i'll start this blog talkign about my work.

i decided to blog about my work because a lot of ppl ask me how work is. to be honest, i dun really like anwering questions as to whether i like my work or not or what i do @ work. it's not that i dont' want to tell people, but i'm not exactly sure what to tell people when they ask me about my work. so... this is for you guyz.

I actually really enjoy working @ Orlando Corporations. It's not because the work itself is overly exciting or intriguing, but rather, i enjoy work because of the relationships i made there. i realized that i can be very very shy still when talking to people i dont' know in a completely new setting. hehe, that shyness is still very much a part of me, even though you may not see it. there's always going to be people in your life that you meet that will be easier to talk to than others, but does that mean you shouldn't make just as much an effort to get to know the people who are harder to start a converstaion with? i don't think so, but i find myself doing that at work. because i know what it feels like to be left out, i usually go and tlak to those people first. i just wanna make them feel extra welcome. but when i'm that newcomer..this is a little bit different. i find that i almost change into a differnet person until i find my comfort zone again. and i hate doing that...sometimes it feels like i'm two different people, but i know i'm not. hmmmm...this is definitely something i'll have to work on.

nehoo...i'm getting a bit off topic, meh~ back to the people at work. i'm really thankful that i've gotten to know so many new friends at work...they range from mid 20's to people my parent's age. I dont' know exactly why, but i really find that i can identify with my chinese colleagues more.. this happens @ waterloo also, but i thought it was just because there were so many chinese ppl there, but i guess not, cuz it happens at work too. i'm not trying to be discriminative or anyting like that, but it's just easier for some wierd reason for me to go up and tlak to chinese people. i feel a bit more at ease and the conversation topics are somewhat different. this isnt' to say that i havne't made some close friendships wtih the non-chinese workers, i have... but i dunno... it's really odd. i think i need to break that mold. i dont' want this to become a habit.

Newayz... at work, surprisingly, i really enjoy talking to people my mom's age or people wtih kids. i find that they are extremely different from my own mom and parents... different in the way they were brought up, in the way they bring up their own kids, in their lifestyle, mannerisms, beliefs. I really learn a lot about life itself just from talking to these people. It's funny, but i think i understand why my parnets think the way they do from talking to these mothers. haha, i can rant to these frioends about how i might think my parnets are being unfair and i get to catch a glimpse of things from their own perspective..haha, witout actually talking to my own parents about it =P I think that sometimes, my own family tends to be a little bit more on the strict strict Chiense traditional side, or maybe sheltered, so i don't get to see very often how other families operate...and specifically, how non-christian families operate (since i've been going to a christian elemtary and high skool b4 going to Loo..i've befreidnign many Christian fmailies). they really intrigue me... and sometimes they make jokes about Christianity. these jokes don't offend me at all, it just makes me really wonder how they view Christianity and why they view it like that. from what i gather, families without God seem to be very happy on their own also, on the exterior anyways. they are perfectly content without God in their lives and have no need for them, in their opinion of course. it's nto that they're against christianity at all, bu rather i think that they deem it "religious" and thus consider themselveds non-religious folks. well, my one boss, his names's jeff. well, sometimes when jeff, monica (my other co-worker) and i are talking, they talk about a specific topic, but then before asking for my opinion, they kind of already think they know what i'm gonna say based on my faith. mostly, jeff would say how i woudln't be into that sort of thing just becaue i'm a christina. but they don't understand why. from what i gather, Christianity is just a bunch of rules and regulations to him which he has no need of. he pokes fun at something that i think he thinks we kind fo blindly follow. but i haven't gotten the chance to talk to him in depth about this kidn of stuff yet...but until that day comes, i pray that his eyes will be opened.

whoa...i wrote so much about work, that i dont' feel like bloggin about my family anymore..i'll leave that for the next blog!
