1 final done... 2 more to go!! this is by far the fewest exams that iv'e ever had to write..but i've studied the least for them compared to 1A and 1B.... why? lack of time!! dirty.... dirty... last year, i used to start studying for finals at least 1 week and half before the final...for each course!! now...i only get 3 days inbetween each final to study for them..and that's it >_< altho i bombed the tax one...i still have hope for a bellcurve :) and the fact that's it's only worth 25% of my final grade!!! thank God for 1/2 courses!!! wow...after talking with Betty this afternoon... i realized how much I've changed since coming to waterloo last year...it's unbelievable..and jsut from this term compared to last year even!! all experiences i've had..and major lessons learnt... haha... not only my "boy" lessons..... more importantly, life lessons... well....let's start w/ the boy ones first...get them out of the way, not because they're anywhere near my top priorities....

1. Any guy can be nice to a girl when they're interested in her.... so "i like him cuz he's nice" just doens't cut it..LOL... what's much more important, is to observant :) how does he act around his friends, other girls, other guys, and his family... this reveals the more realistic side of him, rather than the "i wanna flirt w/ u and look good in yur eyes" deal...

2. before even beginning to like someone..or even consider them as potential, there's gotta be a period of determining if he actually fits my guidelines... or at least does he fulfill the must-haves (ie. Christian maturing in his faith) ... and during this period if observation, it's important NOT to get too emotionally-attatched...this way it saves you from getting very hurt in the future..and it's also guarding yurself and yur emotions... yeah.... and also, it's helpful to not talk too much about this "potential" while yur figuring out if he's potential or not, cuz the more one talks about him/her, the more she'll actually begin to like/become infatuated w/ that person... which is not good lol... hehe....this is the first time that i've actually gone thru this process...and it works :)

3. now on to the more important stuff... studies.. yea..my studies.... firstoff, my life need not revolve around attaining good marks..there are more important things to life..this took me until mid-october to finally figure out after a month of crazie stressed out vanessa... there's actually a big reason why people put their trust in God with respect to their studies... it works =P there's no better way to do it... God really provides..and if i get one or two..or maybe a lot of really sucky grades..it's ok..not the end of the world... maybe i'm not studyign enough..or maybe i'm just not meant to get that 80% on the midterm/final... screw it..no use gettin pissed at something that's meant to happen... in short... my attitude towards my studies shoudl be God-glorifying and nothign else.

4. Re: Co-op process = MAJOR stress... at least initially.... the lesson learnt here was patience... rejection after rejection.... then 3 interviews.... then waiting period for rankings..then 2 ranked...then waiting for matchings...then matched with a job :) it's a simple process. but very painful... at least only painful when i dont' give the whole situation to God... there are all pretty generic terms i'm using here.... (ie. giving things to God... God-glorifying attitude) but this term i actually know what they mean now... once i've experienced the joy of the Lord i dun wanna go back to my old selfish ways...

6. family bonds... usually ppl miss their family the most during first year rite? not me...i miss mine the most during 2nd year =P i talk to them at least 2-3x a week which is way more often than last year.... and altho i've only gone home once this whole term for thanksgiving...it just makes me realize how much GOd has blessed me with the family He has given me. family bonds are so strong and almost unbreakable... they keep growing stronger and stronger but only if each person puts in effort to getting to know the family members better =P

7. friends... the people God places in our lives shapes us into who we are today!! hehe...i know that every person that i've gotten to know better this term has helped me discover who i am inside...we've shared many awesome memories!!! hehe...special shout outs to *amy wong* and *angela zhang*!! hehe... accounting ppl are so cool to hang out with!!!!! u girls ROCK!!! hehe...so nice to little cbc vanessa... hehe...getting me free renison food and sharing a bed together so that i could sleep on a bed @ renison... and working sooooo hard on tax/auditing assignemnts/projects while always finding time to have fun talking/playing ping pong! hehe...even tho i hang out w/ u guyz pretty often recently...my canto hasn't been improving lol... it's all good... this term's been good...been gettig to know a lot of new ppl, but i havne't been as good as last year in keeping up with my old friendships from my pre-waterloo life... i'll be looking forward to seeing all u cool peeps back home!! here's smthg i grabbed off my old asianavenue page...it's interesting... People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, thisperson will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a season, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

so whether you have impacted my life for a reason, a season, or during my lifetime...i'm thankful for each of u guyz!!

can't believe that you actually slept over here 2 nights... =) to be closer w/ you, little CBC girl this term...learn a lot of new vocab... e.g: 'hick town' (hahha`` i dun even know the spelling)...,'dense'.... yea... 'dense girl'... that is you!!!... kekek``. and i remember those mon/wed lunches... looking @ your yummy chinese food compared w/ nasty renison stuff...
and you have to remember the chinese idiom we taught you.... ' chow pei ng hueng, hueng pei ng chow!" but yours are deadly! hahah``...

Hey CBC,

thanx for the shoutoutz eh....it's been my pleasure to get to know you EVEN MORE this term. This term has been a great experience for me too...rension...tax...haha..i can't even recall those audit assign times....seems like ages ago...

Reading from your msg. memories came flashing baq....seems like a long time ago...but really...it's just been a couple months. Jobmine....yeah...really painful...i'm sure we all haf our struggles with it.....all those applications, interviews, rejections.....hoping to get ranked at least, till knowing that there's absolutely no way you got in for my dream job...(well...it's MY...not God's obviously)....learning lots of life lessons, learning to depend on God more fully...leave everything to him, pray more regularly, do more devos. This is such a growing term for me as well....not just spiritually....but friendship wise too....i gotta learn more about the people around me....the strengths n weaknesses of them....and most importantly, i AM learnING to accept, welcome and forgive their faults.....really..it's a hard lesson...but I'm not giving up yet.... :) "I'm trading my sorrows, I'm trading my shames, I'm trading them now...for the Joy of the Lord"
